What Are You Doing in December?

Are you traveling... or just hunkering down?

Decorating already -- or holding off until the last minute?

Rushing around, buying presents and goodies...or staying home to enjoy some quiet time?

I can feel (and count) all you Dear Readers out there...and sometimes you write me privately. But if you've got some time, tell me what you're thinking and doing. I'd like to share it -- and I'll let you know what I'm up, as well.

You asked ....

Staying in town (we don't like to travel during the winter months)
Hosting those of our kids who live in Colorado (the rest are all in Florida)
Celebrating 45 years of marriage 6 days before Christmas
Enjoying my hubby being off work between Christmas and New Year's Day
eating both at home and out
snuggling by the fireplace

I usually catch the Amtrak train and head to Seattle for the holidays but not this year.My daughter has to go on a business trip to South America and won't get home until just a couple days before Christmas. So I will stay home and bake a ham dinner on Christmas Day for my sister, brother and his wife. We are having fantastic weather here in North Dakota. Only 4 inches of snow on the ground and sunshine way into next week.
Have my guild Christmas party on Saturday and busy getting presents bought and making a few. Happy in my home and life.

(Happy anniversary, Barbara, by the way! Ours is close to yours...we were married the day after Christmas.)

These plans sound peaceful...anyone else?

Thanks for writing, by the way.
