THIS QUILT IS BANNED

I really don't understand this. But from Julie Silber's FB page, here's the mention of Laura Shaw's quilt--

Following CENSORSHIP of this quilt at an American quilt show this week where it was excluded from being hung, we have decided it needs another airing here in the digital world. We were honoured to have this quilt in our touring exhibition last year, where it was shown at our events in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane as part of SAQA's Red exhibition. It has been shown at venues in Houston and also at QuiltCon.
Title: Your Mother. Your Daughter. Your Sister. Your Grandmother. You. by Laura Shaw Feit, Portland, Oregon, USA.

(Thanks, Julie -- I couldn't seem to copy Laura's quote about this quilt, so borrowed yours.)

Laura's instagram page makes it clear that the American Quilter Society is the one banning it from all of its shows, because the quilt deals with "women's reproductive rights."

Is this right, or fair? I don't think so. The quilt is making a point -- and it's not doing it in a vulgar way. I'm guessing Laura and I disagree on our viewpoints about this subject; I am a strong believer in the sanctity of every human life, not just the adult ones. But Laura has every right to express her beliefs and be heard, as much as I do. Or she should have...

AQS, please reverse your decision!

See Laura's comments for yourself here.

And here's another quilt banned by AQS decades back.
