Actually, she's been stitching and weaving it, using mesh, fabric strips, felt and embellishments. Notice the detail on this piece:
I particularly like her use of beading to anchor and accent.
24" x 23", made primarily out of bits and pieces she picked up here and there...and beautiful.
(Yes, you could stitch something like this, too.)

Our gentle, soft Golden Lab died early this morning. She was nearly 14. We (including her buddy Charley) loved her dearly...and will miss ...
