Actually, she's been stitching and weaving it, using mesh, fabric strips, felt and embellishments. Notice the detail on this piece:
I particularly like her use of beading to anchor and accent.
24" x 23", made primarily out of bits and pieces she picked up here and there...and beautiful.
(Yes, you could stitch something like this, too.)
