This was really unusual for us here in Colorado...especially in red.
But thanks to the solar storm brewing, I'm guessing, we had a glorious one Tuesday night. Another version is expected Wednesday night.
Daughter #2 took these photos, with a ten-second delay. But it was still visible, even to the naked eye.
It's the first time we've seen anything like this in southern Colorado -- and only the second time or so since we've lived in the state (1984).
Wow.
This was Fort Garland to the south -- a slight tinge of green. The real drama was to the north and northwest.
The red strip at bottom right is the reflection off the Michigan trailer.
