Fred is Dead!

 Yep, that's right... the Quebec version of Punxsatawney Phil has kicked the bucket. Unfortunately, it happened before he made his yearly prediction.

 "It was reported that when ...event organizers went in to check on Fred on February 1 the rodent, who had been hibernating, was already dead and might have died as long ago as late fall."

(I am trying hard not to laugh. Poor guy.)

But our American representative, Punxsatawney Phil, is still going strong. And yes, he saw his shadow today: six more weeks of winter.
