Monday Stuff On the Way to Other Stuff: Don't Judge Me!

Instead, if you're at the Sand & Sage Roundup in Lamar on Monday (otherwise known as the Prowers County Fair), I'll be judging you. I have some interesting categories to oversee, including china painting. Should be fun!

Last week's stop at the Palmer Divide Quiltmakers produced some wonderful pieces during the appraisal day -- and at the guild Show & Tell. I really enjoyed my time there. (Hope you did too, guild members!)

Still hot here...but we hope for cooler weather. And maybe a little rain.

Holden Beach, NC. Not our usual view. But nice, nonetheless.

Meanwhile:

An Olympics athlete stunning people -- on the pommel horse! He's one of the major reasons the men's gymnastics team took a medal.

Way to go, Steve. This guy is amazing!

Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch's advice to President Biden on court reform: "Be careful." (I'd add '...what you wish for. You may get it.')

A new (and stunning) video from 9/11.

An AI-designed poster used for a band's performance at Red Rocks...and an apology.

One hundred people tell how much they're in debt. Some aren't, thankfully! (whew) Others...well, they don't want to talk much about it.

Disneyland unions agree to a 31% pay raise -- yow! (And now Disney is demanding some of its other properties, like ABC News, cut their budgets bigtime. An interesting coin-ki-dence.)

Lucille Ball's real story. (It's pretty sad, too.)

A 'missing' Henry VIII 'Sheldon' portrait has been found -- it's been hanging in Warwick's Shire Hall in England! (The council acquired it in 1951.)

Living lavishly -- in debt. (Mostly credit cards)

Have a good week.

Made With Love... Or Not

I've wondered if that's how Cincinnati Chili got invented... or Garbage Plates . At least they taste good!
