Aunt Mary is Gone

We lost an aunt this week. Aunt Mary was warm, funny and very special. She had been in poor health lately...and was still mourning her husband Vernon's passing. (It would have been the two-year anniversary of his death a few weeks from now.)

Now she has been reunited with him. I'd bet my dad was there to greet her, too.

Here's her obituary, so you can get to know her a little. What it doesn't show was her brand of humor:

She went to the doctor's office some years ago for an ailment. "Do you wake up grumpy?" the doctor asked.
"No, I let him sleep in," she answered.

That was our dear Auntie. Rest peacefully...

Fifty great-grandchildren! That's quite something.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

She was (and is) an amazing woman. But extremely low-key and modest. that's another reason her family loved her so much.

We loved her, too.

Thanks so much for writing.
