Monday Stuff On the Way to Other Stuff: Endurance

Waiting is difficult. We stayed in the trailer, but continued to run over to the house to water and tidy up. It stayed hot all week.. Some rain helped a little, bringing the temperature down.
Meanwhile, we wait. Results from this, results from that...oops, can't move yet. Have to wait for more things to fall into place.
Can we trust God in all this? Do I believe that He has our good in mind, that He cares about us?

Yes. Absolutely.  God is good -- all the time.
All the time - God is good.

It's hard to be patient. Preaching to the choir, right? (Sorry, couldn't resist.)  Meanwhile:

The Mayflower Steps (where the Pilgrims are said to have stepped off onto the ship taking them to the New World) are clearly marked in Plymouth, England. But the REAL steps are said to be under the women's bathroom in a pub nearby!

A missing WWII plane is found -- by a logging crew on Vancouver Island.

Classic Depression Era recipes - 24 of them.  (From Taste of Home)

A 'devil letter' written by a possessed Italian nun in 1676 has finally been translated. Weird.

The real person behind the movie "Can You Ever Forgive Me?" P.S. She didn't want to be.

A judge has to be hauled out of her own sentencing hearing. Curious. If someone had acted this way while she was still on the bench, what would she have done to them...

The French submarine Minerve is found, 7800 feet deep off the coast of France. It had been missing since 1968.

The 'Bosham Head' -- actually part of a Roman era statue of Emperor Trajan -- found in an English flowerbed!

Living in a trailer in the mountains. I'm curious!  (From Coffee with Kate)

The man with a lifetime airline ticket... until American Airlines took it away.

Celebrities who took secrets to the grave. Big ones. And if you're enjoying that:

Famous people who were relative nobodies during their lifetimes. It took their death -- and time -- for them to become well-known.  (From Cracked)

A couple in Kansas is asking for budget help -- they can't make ends meet on $500,000 a year. (I am not making this up. Truly.)

A walk through an ancient English Abbey. (From Life After Money)

Thanks to Colorado wildfires, this year's a bumper crop for 'burn morels.'

Seven of the most disturbing Instagram posts ever. REALLY creepy:

Sylvester Stallone doesn't 'own' Rocky...even though he came up with the idea, wrote the screenplay, starred in it, directed it, etc. Did you know that?

Jimmy Kimmel gets grandstanded -- on his own show! Oh, and he didn't get an invite to Once Upon A Time in Hollywood's premiere, either...

"Something pretty, something putrid." A very funny gardening classic from Get Me to the Country.

Have a good week. Hang in there.
