Monday Stuff On the way to Other Stuff: Fort Collins - And Appraising

Well, that was fun.

We've been scraping along at an inch or so of snow when our further-north family gets socked. Friday and Saturday, the tables were turned -- we got at least 15-16 inches. Just when we were supposed to leave for the Fort Collins (actually Loveland) gig.

    Hmmm.

Sunday was back to the usual sunshine, which promptly set about to melting the snow. The Brick managed to get the truck out and up the hill, by chaining the tires. So we'll leave very early Monday morning, instead.

LCNQ's guild meeting is Monday afternoon -- an appraisal panel, including yours truly and Gina Kleppinger. Stop by and say hi!

Colorado snow totals for this storm. Blanca, five miles away, got 6 inches, they say. (Our Castle Rock friends got a little over 9.)

Meanwhile:

Valentine's Things I Don't (And Do) Understand.  A classic from yours truly.

Reparations -- an interesting look at what's going on right now.

Thai Green Prawn Curry...yum. (From Khin's Kitchen)

Comics for the winter -- to 'keep out the cold.' These are funny!

Forty celebrities who lost (and wasted millions.  I don't know why I enjoy this silliness...but I do.

A Stieglitz print... behind a Stieglitz print! What an auction buy.

A hidden room produces hundreds of prints -- including one of Susan B. Anthony.

Basic canned foods that turn into delicious meals with a few tweaks.

Instagram vs reality! These doctored-up photos are just insane.

Yet ANOTHER Harvard plagiarism scandal.  (sigh) This time, it's Harvard's chief 'diversity and inclusion' officer.

What's under Washington Square Park in NYC?  The Hangman's Elm is still there, too...

Now there's a way to keep AI from stealing your artwork (and photos too, I believe):  Nightshade. Can't they come up with something for words?

Carl Weathers died last week. An amazing actor.

Fossilized trees, with crown and leaf branches intact?  Zowweee...

'Experiences that restored your faith in humanity:'  Bored Panda readers hold forth.

'What's the rudest thing someone has said, when you were doing them a favor?'  Quora readers hold forth!

A 200-square-foot NYC apartment renovation...for cheap. And amazing!

Funny wives and girlfriends.

"...because there you go to jail:" why migrant gangs haven't been operating in Florida that much. Hmmm.

Have a good week. Stay warm.
