I'm here in Portland, OR, with the Mama and Cousin Joy in tow...my uncle has been diagnosed with advanced cancer, and just is not doing well.
We drove all night to get here, arrived about 5:30 a.m. The Mama didn't want us to be a bother, so we slept in the car until about 6:30 a.m., when Cousin Torry woke up and found us outside. (Actually, her dog Tobey did.)
Lots to process, though it is nice to see the family. I'll be more in touch in a bit.
