Two Textile Prizewinners

Jerry Dunbar is one of Colorado's finest handquilters -- but he also loves to design his own work. Often it features traditional-inspired patterns and ideas -- but with a twist.

He just took prizes at the Arapahoe County Quilters'Festival of Quilts, here in the Denver area --

The show is still going today, 6/10/23  -- check the link for directions.

Best Hand Quilting for Souvenir from Hattiesburg

(Mississippi, that is. Finished in 2022, with 319 hours of work invested)

Best Use of Color, plus 1st prize, Large Wall Quilts, for

           FunKee MunKee

(Named for the print in the outer border. Also hand-quilted -- 255 hours for this one)

The quilt back is a variegated rainbow print.
Doesn't this give you ideas for using up leftover bits & pieces from your projects?

Congratulations, Jerry!
