That's One Way to Bring About Unity

Fox News just alerted us to a recent performance at a children's care Muslim center commemorating "Ummah Day." Here's the video, translated by MEMRI, a watchdog organization:

The kids look great. Palestinian scarves, gorgeous costumes, beautiful quotes and soulful music. Choregraphy, even.

What a wonderful way to commemorate this day.

What they're saying, singing and reading (conveniently not in English) are statements about sacrificing themselves as martyrs, and killing for Allah's sake.

"We will defend the land of divine guidance with our bodies, and we will sacrifice our souls without hesitation," a girl says. "We will chop off their heads, and we will liberate the sorrowful and exalted Al-Aqsa Mosque. We will lead the army of Allah fulfilling His promise, and we will subject them to eternal torture."

Other kids recite lines urging the liberation of Palestine -- getting rid of "the treacherous ones"  (Israel and the Jews) in the process.

So this happened somewhere years ago in the Middle East, right?

April 22nd at The Muslim American Society (MAS) in Philadelphia. MAS has more than forty chapters throughout the U.S., and one in the United Kingdom.

Guess what "Ummah Day" is for?

Must be some kind of holiday celebrating the founding of Palestine. Or a sacred event in Islam. That would explain the rhetoric. Sort of.

The kids are celebrating mothers.    Mother's Day.

According to the MAS website, it wants to "move people to strive for God-consciousness, liberty and justice" and achieve "a virtuous and just American society."

"Hate has no place in our society," said its executive director, Ayman Hammous, in a statement referring to the recent synagogue shooting in California. "In an era where we've seen an increase in hate crimes, including rising Islamophobia and anti-semitism, we must stand tall together in solidarity."

"These acts of terror in places of worship and against humanity cannot become the norm."

On the MAS website, one of the headers announces:

"MAS stands in solidarity with our Jewish community in San Diego."

In a shocking turn of events, MAS "did not immediately respond for comment," says Fox News.
