The Ebay seller is billing this 19th century daguerrotype as a 'sick lady/pre-post-mortem' photo. Wouldn't you like to be her, overhearing this? Shades of Monty Python.
Notice the quilt behind her shoulder -- it could easily be c.1840. Based on how it's draping, the "quilt" could be cheater print fabric, instead. Yes, they had cheater prints back then. (I'm guessing the photo itself is probably c.1860,)
Take a closer look here. Hefty price, wonderful piece.
