What It Looks Like...Right Now

We had a lot of wind today, blowing colder weather in. It made for some spectacular cloud photos.

Yup, that's where we currently live.

We really do live in a beautiful part of Colorado.  The fall colors are just coming on, and everything has a rich, almost velvety look.

Of course, with the first snowfall, that will all change.

Charley on patrol

You can't see her well..but Ruby is down by the fence.
Keeping those pesky deer in check.

Still making slow progress. We're definitely starting to feel better, after a pesky case of flu. The Brick has been sighting in his gun and starting to pack for hunting next week. Meanwhile, I trudge through the latest batch of appraisal reports...then whip up Something for meals.

Thanks to recent developments, we still don't know whether we need to head to Michigan for the winter -- or stay here, at least through the holidays. We won't know for at another week. Maybe two.

So how do I plan??   The answer: I don't. Not right now.
Just take each day as it comes.

Glad that the truck is back. If you have to driveway surf through the winter, it might be worth paying your mom to install 30 or 50 amp service outside. It doesn't cost all that much and you will use every amp keeping in the heat.

Thanks for the suggestion. We've also thought about renting a propane tank for the winter there...

We are SO glad to have the truck back. Whew. I just wish it hadn't meant decimating our savings to pay for it.

Thanks for writing.
